Spring Covid-19 Vaccination Booster Programme

You may have seen on the national news that the 2nd Covid boosters are now available for all patients aged over 75 years and for patients who are severely immuno suppressed.

Please note:-

In order for you to book in for your booster you will need to be 6 months since your last booster before you can have book in.

The national booking system is will be available for patients, their relatives and, their carers to book an appointment that suits them.

We will contact all eligible patients as and when patients become eligible ( 6 months post last vaccine), you do not need to contact us or Manor Park Medical Centre,  we will either call you, send you a text message, or write to you to give you the details on how to book your appointment as and when you become eligible.

Manor Park will be running several clinics over the coming months to ensure all those that do want a second booster can access one.

Sheffield rules and restrictions

COVID-19 precautions remain in all hospitals, GP practices and other healthcare sites

 

Patients, visitors and staff (where necessary) are required to continue wearing masks, gel their hands and adhere to social distancing while in any of South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw’s hospitals, GP surgeries, community health centres and other health locations despite the lifting of national restrictions.

The guidance is in line with national infection prevention control guidance set out by Public Health England.

Patients and Visitors 

  • Masks will be freely available at our hospitals, GP centres and community venues and so please do feel free to approach a member of staff if you forget to bring one along. We will continue to monitor the situation and national guidance in the coming weeks and make changes where it is safe and appropriate to do so. In the meantime please check the website and social media of local hospitals and other healthcare organisations to check the current restrictions in place including visiting arrangements and coming for appointments.
  • Continue to wash/gel hands regularly especially on entry and exit.
  • Keep a safe distance from other people at all times unless it is part of the care being given
  • Do not attend if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been asked to self isolate by NHS Track and Trace.
